First,
the Rochester Red Wings were a Saint Louis Cardinal farm team
and then a Baltimore Oriole farm club. There was always a
bird thing going on. But now they belong to the Minnesota
Twins. I'm hoping the change will do them good. This nasty
looking bird (Family Tradition?) didn't look too happy last
year.
I
went to Red Wing games in the stadium on Norton when Montreal,
Toronto and Havana had teams in the league. It was truly the
International League back then. I had a knot hole pass that
got kids in cheap to about ten games a season. Luke Easter
was the man and the players seemed to stick around town for
more than a season. I like the new stadium all right but I've
noticed the Rhinos games are a lot more fun to go to than
the Wings games.
