PERSONAL EFFECTS 5 Song EP
(Cachalot Records, 1983)

Iolo Carew, a dj at Danceteria in New York, had the Hi-Techs' "Screamin' You Head" 7 inch on his playlist for quite a while and it attracted the attention of Eric DuFaure from Cachalot Records. Eric came to Rochester to hear us live and he offered us a deal. Bob Martin joined the band and we changed our name to Personal Effects. We recorded a five song ep at PCI studios with Dwight Glodell engineering and producing. We did some additional recording and mixing at Sorcerer Sound in NYC. Eric produced "So Hard" with Dwight. Iolo mixed "Love Never Thinks" with Dwight. We played about ten times in New York and the last gig was at Danceteria. It was intended to be a showcase for a major label. We had a few sound problems and Eric told us to fire our sound guy or say goodbye. We said "goodbye".
