2002 The European Jazz Ensemble at Montage Grill were the best act we saw at the first Rochester International Jazz Festival. They are world class players with an avant bent. We didn't know anything about Norah Jones so we missed her. That's the cool thing about this festival. You can not do it all. There are shows in different venues at the same time. If you don't like what you hear just get up and walk down the street to the next venue.
