This beautifully designed contraption can slow the pace of your life down a few notches. It's an outdoor, handmade fireplace called a chimenea. Outdoors is where the fireplace belongs. We bought ours at Animas Traders on South Clinton in Rochester. Jim, the owner, bought about a hundred of them on his last trip to Mexico.

I don't know if fires are even legal in the city. We have had five fires in it so far and we're running out of wood. We've started picking up wood in our neighborhood when we're out. Maybe another ice storm will bring some down.
