This is Lake Riley. The Wilderness Family wrote a song about it called "Crossing Lake Riley" and Dreamland Faces did a cover version of it. They used to turn barges around in here as they worked the Erie Canal. That is Cobbs Hill in the background with a reservoir and an old graffiti covered tank up there. I played Little League here and used to skate on this pond when we had winters. A local business man named Gideon Cobb ran a brick factory on this property. See Brighton Brick.
