November 21, 2003 - January 11, 2004

This
is the cover of the most recent book of Milton Rogovin's
photography. Those are Genny Beer advertising displays
onthe wall of this photo. Milton lives (at 93) and worked
in Buffalo, New York. He worked as an optometrist until
he was almost 50 and the House Un-American Activities
Committee branded him The Area'a Top Red". He took
up photography and shot the people in Buffalo's lower
west side neighborhoods where he used to practce.
Together
with his wife, Anne, they revisited manyof these same
subjects over the years and their portraits will knock
you out. Milton Rogovin attended the opening here in November
along with his son. He has donated his photographic archives
to the Library of Congress.
